Website and Web Platform Improvements
We want to make sure district and school staff can quickly and easily access the information they need through GaDOE’s website and web platforms. Based on feedback from the field, we’re working to improve navigation, accessibility, and user experience across these spaces. To support your work, we’ve updated and enhanced the staff contact information available on GaDOE’s public website and are launching new Website Support Office Hours. You and your team members are invited to join these sessions to ask questions, locate resources, and receive guidance on using GaDOE’s web platforms. Looking ahead, we also plan to offer opportunities for district staff to share additional feedback as part of our continued improvement process.

GFPE Early Literacy Alignment Mini Grant Open Until October 31
The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE)’s Early Literacy Alignment Mini Grant provides up to $5,000 to Georgia public elementary schools seeking to vertically align innovative literacy practices with local childcare programs. Specifically, the grant funds strategic partnerships between childcare providers and local public elementary schools as they engage in collaborative professional learning to align their literacy practices to facilitate a smooth transition for rising pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.
This grant is made possible through generous donations to the Georgia Foundation for Early Care & Learning, and to the Georgia Foundation for Public Education via the PEACH Education Tax Credit. All Georgia public elementary schools partnered with a local childcare provider that has received a Quality Rating are eligible to apply.
