School Climate Survey Closing Soon

Only five weeks remain for schools to meet all School Climate Survey participation requirements. The minimum requirements are:

  • Students = 51%
  • Teachers and Staff (combined) = 51%
  • Family = 15 or more responses

Schools that do not meet all three participation requirements will lose one star on the FY26 School Climate Star Rating. The survey window for the mandatory Georgia School Climate Survey for students, personnel, and families will close March 31 at midnight.

Congratulations to the 2025-26 Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness Recipients!

GaDOE and the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) awarded almost 200 Georgia schools with the Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness for the 2025-26 school year. Congratulations to all the schools and districts awarded for working diligently to go above and beyond in the areas of school safety and preparedness!

Introducing the New GaMTSS Flowchart

The GaMTSS team is excited to share a new GaMTSS Flowchart, developed to provide districts and schools with a clear, high level visual overview of Georgia’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS). This flowchart is designed to support shared understanding and alignment across teams by illustrating how prevention, intervention, and progress monitoring work together within a multilevel system.

Reminder: Statewide Day of Service on March 18, 2026

As Georgia’s 2026 Teacher of the Year, Rachel Kinsaul is encouraging schools and districts across the state to engage students in meaningful service learning through a Day of Service focused on community connection, real-world learning, and civic responsibility.

The statewide Day of Service will be observed on March 18, 2026. Schools are encouraged to participate on that date or schedule their own service day. Explore the links below to learn more and complete the Day of Service participation interest form to indicate your schools’ intent to participate and receive updates.

Reminder: Free SAT Prep Classes

GaDOE is offering free, live, virtual SAT Prep Classes this spring in partnership with Tutored by Teachers. Students will strengthen foundational math, reading, and writing skills; build confidence with SAT questions; and learn effective test-taking strategies. This accessible virtual series is designed to support students across the state as they prepare for the SAT. The next sessions are March 2-5, 2026.
