Save the Date: Federal Programs Virtual Conference
GaDOE’s Office of Federal Programs is planning a virtual conference June 2-3, 2026. The focus of the conference is supporting implementation of federal grants under the Every Student Succeeds ACT (ESSA) and the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). Attendees will receive focused professional development to ensure every child – including students with disabilities, migratory students, and students in foster care – receives the support they need to succeed. Registration information will be available in April in the GaDOE Professional Learning Events Catalog.

Title I, Part C Education of Migratory Children – Region 1 Virtual College Experience Day
The Ready, Set, College! Virtual event, scheduled for March 23 at 5 p.m., is designed to provide Migratory Education Program high school students and their families with essential tips and strategies for navigating the college preparation process. Students will attend informative presentations on preparing for college, understanding FAFSA, maximizing financial aid, ACT/SAT prep, and hearing real-life experiences from students and parents who have been through it all. The event aims to provide students with both the tools and the inspiration to succeed.

GE Aerospace-Reagan Workforce Readiness Scholarship
New for 2026, the GE Aerospace-Reagan Workforce Readiness Scholarship supports students pursuing practical, industry-aligned education pathways that lead to high-demand careers in aerospace, technology, and advanced manufacturing. This program will annually award numerous scholarships of up to $20,000 each to high school seniors planning to enroll in eligible technical or two-year degree, industry certification, or skilled-trade training programs. Candidates are invited to apply no later than noon CST on May 1.
