Reminder of Access to Home School and Private School Enrollment Data
Do you know how many students in your district are enrolling in homeschool programs or private schools? We want to remind you and your district teams of two valuable data sources that can inform analyses of student enrollment trends: Home School Report and Private School Collection.
Within the SLDS dashboard is a Home School Report that captures the number and names of students residing in your district who have submitted a Declaration of Intent to home school each fiscal year.
Additionally, state law requires private schools to provide monthly notice to the local public school district of the students enrolled in that private school. This information is shared with districts via DE1111 forms on which private schools list the name, age, grade, and residence of each student currently enrolled.

Update District Contacts for Excellence Recognition Programs
GaDOE offers multiple excellence recognition programs for students, educators, and schools. To ensure districts and schools receive timely updates, please complete the Excellence Recognitions listserv contact form and share it with staff who support these programs. Ideally, each program should have both a district contact and a school-level contact. If your district does not currently have designated contacts, this is a good opportunity to identify them as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.
