Overview
GaDOE’s Military Students and Families team provides resources and support for schools, districts, and military families across the state. Georgia is home to the fifth-largest military population in the United States and has a unique opportunity to shape the educational experience for thousands of students who are the children of active service members. In 2012, Georgia became a member of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children.
