State Reporting

What is the Purpose of State Reporting?

Each year, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) collects data from each school district in the state. These elements collect data on students along with school and district staff. GaDOE provides a comprehensive list with each collected data element on the Data Elements page.

Certified/Classified Personnel Information (CPI) collects demographic, salary, job assignment, and other data elements on school and district staff. This data is collected three times annually. The fall collection is reported in early November, spring collection is reported in early April, and end-of-year collection is reported in early August.

Data Collection Survey collects district contact information and other state reporting operational information required to support the other state reporting collections.

End-of-Pathway Assessment (EOPA) collects data related to student participation and performance in assessments related to career and technical education courses.

Free and Reduced-Price Meal Eligibility collects aggregate data from districts on the percentage of students eligible for free and/or reduced meals.

Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) collects data necessary to determine state funding for education, which is based on student enrollment and education services provided to students.

Georgia Unique Identified for Education (GUIDE)
Georgia Unique Identified for Education (GUIDE) is the system utilized to maintain a unique ID system for students and is available to districts throughout the year to generate new IDs for students entering K-12 in Georgia for the first time or to claim an ID for a student transferring from another Georgia district.
