School Climate Survey Closing Soon

Only five weeks remain for schools to meet all School Climate Survey participation requirements. The minimum requirements are:

  • Students = 51%
  • Teachers and Staff (combined) = 51%
  • Family = 15 or more responses

Schools that do not meet all three participation requirements will lose one star on the FY26 School Climate Star Rating. The survey window for the mandatory Georgia School Climate Survey for students, personnel, and families will close March 31 at midnight.

Congratulations to the 2025-26 Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness Recipients!

GaDOE and the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) awarded almost 200 Georgia schools with the Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness for the 2025-26 school year. Congratulations to all the schools and districts awarded for working diligently to go above and beyond in the areas of school safety and preparedness!

FY27 Consolidated Application Part 1: CLIP Opens March 1

Part I of the FY27 Consolidated Application – the Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP) – opens March 1 and is due June 30. The CLIP serves as the LEA’s formal plan to GaDOE outlining how federal grant funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) will be coordinated and used to support the LEA’s identified needs. In FY27, the CLIP introduces a single simplified application option for all LEAs.

Introducing the New GaMTSS Flowchart

The GaMTSS team is excited to share a new GaMTSS Flowchart, developed to provide districts and schools with a clear, high level visual overview of Georgia’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS). This flowchart is designed to support shared understanding and alignment across teams by illustrating how prevention, intervention, and progress monitoring work together within a multilevel system.

2024 LEA Poverty and Population Challenge Period with Census Bureau (Updated Data)

The Census Bureau is providing a challenge period for LEAs to review the 2024 LEA poverty and population data for certain non-statistical errors. The U.S. Department of Education (ED) uses the 2024 Census data to calculate fiscal year 2026 (SY2026-27) Title I, Part A state allocations, which are used to calculate the Title I LEA allocations. The file from ED was recently updated. If your LEA already reviewed prior to this week, please check the files one additional time.
