Below are your weekly updates and reminders from the Georgia Department of Education. Click here for the District Deadlines and To-Dos Dashboard.

2025 CCRPI Assessment Matching Summer Activities

The 2025 WIDA ACCESS, WIDA Alternate ACCESS, and EOC Winter assessments are now loaded in the 2025 CCRPI Assessment Matching application, available in the MyGaDOE Portal for district users only. (National assessments have been available for matching since March.) EOC Spring, EOG, GAA 2.0, EOG retests, and EOC Summer assessments will be loaded as soon as they become available.

Superintendent sign-off, which is required, will be activated after all assessments have been loaded into the application and matched. The Assessment Matching application will close August 28 at 4 p.m.

This is one critical step your district will take in ensuring accurate data for the 2025 CCRPI. If you need assistance completing the application, please contact the GaDOE accountability specialist assigned to assist your district.

Reminder: Federal Allocations

This is a reminder of the email sent to superintendents on July 1, 2025 by Shaun Owen, Deputy Superintendent of Federal Programs. On June 30, GaDOE received the message below from the U.S. Department of Education (USED) regarding Georgia’s Title I-C, II-A, III-A, IV-A, and IV-B grants.

“Given the change in Administrations, the Department is reviewing the FY 2025 funding for the [Title I-C, II-A, III-A, IV-A, IV-B] grant program(s), and decisions have not yet been made concerning submissions and awards for this upcoming academic year. Accordingly, the Department will not be issuing Grant Award Notifications obligating funds for these programs on July 1 prior to completing that review. The Department remains committed to ensuring taxpayer resources are spent in accordance with the President’s priorities and the Department’s statutory responsibilities.”

GaDOE is unable to disburse 2025-2026 school year funding of the aforementioned grants until the funding is released from USED. Superintendent Woods is strongly committed to ensuring that districts have access to the funds they need to successfully start the school year. He will request a called State Board of Education meeting, if necessary, to distribute funds to districts as quickly as possible once they are released by USED. We have received allocations for Title I-A, Title I-D, Title V-B, IDEA 611 and 619, and Education for Homeless Children and Youth (McKinney-Vento) grants and they will be on the State Board of Education agenda for approval this month.
