Distribute to Teachers: DOAA Survey of Teachers Regarding AI in K-12 Classrooms
Please distribute this message and survey to all classroom teachers in your district. The Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts (DOAA) is currently conducting a performance audit of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) use in K-12 classrooms. DOAA has developed a survey for K-12 teachers that will help determine:
1) How teachers use GenAI in their classrooms
2) How teachers believe students use GenAI
3) Perceived impacts on teaching practice and student learning
4) What guidance and/or training teachers have received on GenAI use
DOAA estimates the survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete. While the survey questions were developed in consultation with GaDOE, all results will be reported to and analyzed by DOAA. In addition, the survey results will be collected anonymously and presented in the final audit report anonymously.
