Webinar for Students & Families: Habits of Successful Test Takers
In this free, statewide live session on Wednesday, September 24 at noon, Varsity Tutors will go over successful test-taking strategies as well as techniques for managing time and anxiety. The webinar is intended for students and families; district and school leaders can attend. Please share this opportunity with students and families in your district.

Free Statewide SAT Prep Tutoring Sessions: Sept. 22-25
GaDOE has partnered with Tutored by Teachers to offer SAT test prep for Georgia’s students. This statewide tutoring series will cover effective test-taking strategies for SAT Math, Reading, and Writing. Please share this opportunity with students, families, teachers, and counselors.
2025-2026 Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness Application Release
GaDOE, in collaboration with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, is releasing the application for the 2025-2026 Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness. Created as a recognition to commend schools going above and beyond to increase school safety and minimize risk factors, the Seal of Preparedness will be awarded to all schools who apply and meet specific safety planning criteria.
The window for applications is September 17 through November 17, 2025, and the Office of Whole Child Supports will host a webinar Friday, September 19 at 9:30 a.m. to provide more detailed information. If you miss the webinar, the recording will be shared soon.

Reminder: Georgia Early Literacy and Dyslexia Universal Screening Reporting
The first deadline for K-3 universal reading and dyslexia screening is October 1. The application is now live in the MyGaDOE Portal. Data are reported at the school level and approved at the district level.

Reminder: Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community (CSTEC) Grant Now Open
The Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community (CSTEC) Grant aims to provide support for all students to access and engage in computer science experiences. This grant offers professional support for instruction, practice, and pedagogy, including the use of physical computing to engage students in computer science education. Georgia LEAs are eligible to apply.
