Guidance on FY26 Poverty Funding Allocations & Uses
The General Assembly included $15,275,991 to districts for targeted support to economically disadvantaged students in the FY2026 budget. These funds will begin being disbursed in the district September QBE payments on Tuesday, September 30. Guidance on the allocation and use of these funds is linked below.

SB 351 – Internet AUP Submission Deadline
Per SB 351, each local board of education must approve an internet acceptable use policy by October 1, 2025 and submit that policy to GaDOE by October 15, 2025. This submission will occur using the GaDOE Surveys application found in GaConnects Staff. This is the same platform used to collect the annual technology inventory and will be accessed by the district technology coordinator in the same manner as the technology inventory.

2025 Red Ribbon Campaign Resources
GaDOE is working with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to promote the 2025 Red Ribbon Campaign. Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity to educate youth about the importance of embracing a drug-free lifestyle and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Please encourage your students to participate in the 2025 Governor’s Red Ribbon Campaign Kick-Off event and the scholastic contests which will include artistic, musical, spoken word, and written category options. Reminder: FY26 Title I, Part D Annual Neglected and Delinquent Survey Due
GaDOE has an annual requirement to collect the number of students enrolled in residential facilities for neglected or delinquent children located in LEAs. The annual survey is required by the U.S. Department of Education and the information is used to determine Title I funding. This year’s survey generates funding for the 2026-2027 school year.
